The operating rules for utilizing the Caltra ecosystem. By launching a storefront or registering a fleet, you agree to these terms.
Merchant of Record
Caltra is software infrastructure. You remain legally responsible for the physical goods you sell and the fulfillment promises you make.
System Abuse
Bypassing our SMS verification limits for spam or marketing purposes will result in immediate account termination.
1. Platform Services
Caltra provides an operational ecosystem comprising Caltra OS (vendor storefronts and order management) and Caltra Fulfill (logistics and rider assignment).
We act solely as the software intermediary. Caltra is not a logistics company, nor are we the retailer of the products listed on your Storefront. You agree to utilize our tools to manage your own independent operations.
2. Payment On Delivery (POD) & Liability
Our platform is engineered to mitigate the risks associated with Payment-On-Delivery commerce. However, vendors acknowledge the inherent risks of this business model:
- Failed Deliveries: While our Automated SMS Verification dramatically reduces failure rates, Caltra does not guarantee a 100% success rate. We are not liable for logistics fees incurred due to rejected or fraudulent orders.
- Transit Losses: Any loss, theft, or damage of physical goods occurring during transit is a dispute to be resolved exclusively between the Vendor and the Logistics Company contracted via Caltra Fulfill.
3. Subscriptions & SMS Limits
Access to Caltra OS requires an active subscription. Features such as Custom Domains and SMS Confirmations are gated by your tier.
SMS Overage: Each subscription tier includes a hard cap on monthly SMS confirmations. If your order volume exceeds this cap, you agree to pay the standard per-SMS overage fee to ensure your orders continue to be verified.
Using the Caltra SMS API to send marketing blasts, spam, or non-transactional messages violates our telecom provider agreements and will result in a permanent ban.
